A Letter From Our Presidents

To our current students, our accomplished and illustrious alumni, and prospective students - welcome to the WWIB community!

In 2022, and for the first time in Wharton's history, 52% of the incoming class was comprised of women. In fact, Wharton is the first of the M7 schools to achieve the landmark milestone of gender parity. As WWIB presidents, we're excited to lead through this new era and help pave the path for more progress.

Even though our first year of business school wasn't what we had initially hoped or expected, we wouldn't change any part of it. While attempting to find normalcy amidst all the uncertainty and change, we stumbled upon life-changing lessons around community, resiliency, and hope. These very lessons have served as an inspiration and have informed our vision and mission for WWIB in the upcoming year. <b> We want to shape, engage, and grow communities of strong, powerful women and their allies by creating tangible opportunities to lift each other up, together.

We want WWIB to be a place where all Wharton women feel included, supported, and empowered as they embark on their personal and professional journeys during business school and beyond. We are so incredibly excited about all of the programming we have in store for our members.

Thank you for taking an interest in supporting or joining the Wharton Women community. If you’d like to learn more about WWIB and get involved, please reach out to the email below.

And of note, WWIB is open to all students, regardless of gender, who support the WWIB mission.

With Love,

Heidi, Anisha, and Jennifer

2023-2024 Co-Presidents

A Note From The Administration

Welcome, Wharton Women! (and future Wharton Women!)

One of the great joys of my role is getting to work with WWIB. As I speak to current students, alumnae, and prospective students, I’m always heartened when I am (frequently) asked: “How can we help? How can I do more?” My answer is always, “Send great women our way!”

We’ve watched the numbers grow year over year. It’s not just about representation, either – our Wharton Women lead across the School. From the WGA to clubs, conferences, and athletic clubs, Wharton Women are at the helm. They are managing club budgets, arguing a viewpoint in class, and building a network of women leaders across the globe. The impact of the Women of Wharton is seen, felt, and heard in every aspect of Wharton life now and as they go out into a myriad of different roles.

Now that you’ve found this website get in touch & keep in touch! We look forward to meeting you in person and welcoming you to Wharton.
